Announcement and Hint for this week...

Hello All,

First, I have an important announcement. We are moving the date of the Tournament of Champions from next week, March 4th to the week after, March 11th. We are doing this because the MU/OU game is on at 8pm and the KU/TT game is on at 8:30pm on March 4th. As fans of both teams (and K-State) play trivia, I don't want any excuses when it comes tournament time!

We will still have trivia next week, but will probably begin it around 9:30-10:00 and it will be a somewhat shortened version to finish by 11-11:30.

We do of course have trivia tonight as well with the normal weekly prizes! Your hint for tonight is World Capitals. There aren't too many countries right?

Season 3, Week 10 Hint and Reminder

All,

Welcome to the final week of Season 3. I have posted the scores above. Teams in Green are currently in the tournament on points alone. Teams in Orange are currently in as they are the most frequent guests outside the top 10. But as you can see by the scores...anything and everything can change tonight.

As a reminder, the tournament will be held on Wednesday, March 4th. That is two weeks from tonight. While the game itself is open to EVERYONE, only the qualified teams are eligible for the special tournament prizes. Those teams not eligible for tournament prizes are still eligible to win the usual weekly prizes. Also, we will still have trivia for normal prizes next week, but the tournament is in two weeks.

Some tournament prizes I have heard about so far:

• 10 Tickets to the Lew's Irish Hooley St. Patrick's Day Party
• 6 VIP Passes to the Lew's Irish Hooley St. Patrick's Day Party
• Your Team Name on the Trophy for the winning team
• Reserved Seating Every Wednesday for the winning team
• 2-Hour Happy Hour for your entire team from 5pm-7pm before any Wednesday Trivia Night - this includes 4 appetizers, domestic beers and well drinks)!

Certainly there are more prizes to come and yes, Tarp Crew Heroes, you will have your banner by then!

Here is a reprint of the tournament specifics regarding your starting scores:

1. Only the Top 10 scoring teams for the 10-week period and 2 "wild card" teams with the most weeks of attendance are eligible for Tournament of Champions prizes.
2. For every week you come to trivia during the season, you receive 3 points toward your starting tournament score. For example, if you come for all 10 weeks, your team starts with 30 points.
3. The top 4 teams in scoring for the regular season will also receive starting points in the tournament: 1st Place: 20 points 2nd Place: 15 points 3rd Place: 10 points 4th Place: 5 points

And finally, your hint for this week is water - I would lean toward the bottled variety.
